The Moroccan giants have approached the agent of Billiat in hopes of signing the winger this summer.
Following the departure of Zakaria Hadraf to Saudi Arabia, Raja Club Athletic have been on the look for a skillful winger to replace him. Technical director, Fathi Jamal, has been on the look in Egypt during the Africa Cup of Nations and according to sources close to the club, he has seemingly grown fond of Zimbabwe’s main attraction, Khama Billiat.
The 28-year-old was one of The Warriors’ best performers and according to his agent, Michael Ngobeni, there have been interest from clubs in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, including Raja. But with two years still left on Billiat’s contract with South African club Kaizer Chiefs, he certainly won’t go for free. It’s now up to Jamal and chairman Jawad Ziyat, whether they’re willing to put the necessary fee on the table.
