Morocco announce final AFCON squad

With ten days to go, Herve Renard calls up 23 players for the Africa Cup of Nations, while omitting four names from the preliminary list.

11th of June was CAF’s set deadline for sending in the final squad ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and like always, Morocco just managed to announce it on that exact day.

The 23-man final list includes players from eleven different leagues and three different continents. Amine Harit (Midfielder, Schalke), Ayoub El Kaabi (Striker, Hebei), Abdelkarim Baadi (Full-back, Hassania Agadir) and Anas Zniti (Goalkeeper, Raja Casablanca), were the four names dropped from the preliminary squad.
