Difaâ El Jadida have already started preparing for next season, with the recruitment of Congolese striker Ricky Tulenge. One of many new signings to come in this summer transfer window for Badou Zaki.
The former national team hero has done fairly well since replacing Hubert Velud as manager of the coast club, currently on an eight-game unbeaten streak and fighting for a CAF Confederations Cup spot. But there’s no doubt that DHJ will need to strengthen their squad if they want to challenge for titles next season, which Zaki is highly aware of.
Former Player of the Season in DR Congo Ligue 1, Ricky Tulenge, has already signed a pre-contract and should be a great addition to the attacking line, especially if they manage to keep Saimon Msuva on top of that. Tulenge is expected in Jadida soon to undergo medical tests and will sign a three-year deal according to local newspapers.
But that won’t be the only summer-signing for The Knights of Doukkala. DHJ arranged a friendly against Rapide Oued Zem on Saturday, where five players were tested. Zaki himself reportedly wants 12 new faces and they’ve already secured pre-agreements with Yassine Dahbi of KACM and Houssem Amaanan from CRA, both solid players on expiring contracts.
